🧠Monday, April 6 — Genetics & Addiction
It’s Day 1 of Drug & Alcohol Fact Week (DAFW) at the middle school!
Today, students are learning that genetics can influence risk for addiction — but choices, coping skills, environment, relationships, and trusted adults all play a powerful role in staying healthy.
💬 At home:
Ask, “If some people have a higher risk, what helps kids make healthy choices anyway?”
Even short conversations build awareness and protection.
